Finalizing Bundle 2
I used this project as a bonding experience, as well as an assignment for school. I spent a great deal of time talking with family members about Italian cuisine and learning how to make different dishes using tomatoes. The restaurants that I included in my Works Cited are two of my favorites in Providence and their menus completely inspired mine. I really enjoyed working on this project.

what I know..now..with Bundle 2
In my research I've come across so many useful resources...Food Network magazine and Edible Rhody have occupied most of my time for the past two weeks. I never took too much interest in these types of readings before, but now I find myself extremely interested in all of the articles. I have a couple of favorite restaurants that I never would have thought could be useful for anything else except enjoying the food, but in researching the menus and reviews I obtained a large amount of information to help with my bundle. Needless to say this has been a great experience and I've learned a lot.

Bundle 2
For some reason I had a very difficult time deciding what I was going to do with Bundle 2. Maybe it is because I had so many ideas of what I could possibly do. In being a member of a large Italian-American family, food is a very important part of our lives, so I thought... what do we eat all the time, prepare in different ways, and can I make successfully...of course pasta was my first thought, but in thinking about it a little more I realized how important the tomato is in almost every dish that my family makes...there is even a martini that my mother just served at a family get together called the Caprese martini which, of course, includes tomatoes!!

Info for History on Charles Lippitt
All my info on Charles W. Lippitt came from National Governor's Association
Sobel, Robert and John Raimo, eds. Biographical Directory of Governors of the US, 1789-1978, Vol. 4, Wesport, CT: Meckler Books, 1978.

New info on Lippitt Park
I talked to alot of the restaurant owners in the area, whom also feel that there is not enough information on the park itself. So that was where I got my idea for a descriptive essay that could possibly be used in a local magazine such as RI monthly!

research into the history of Charles W. Lippit
I found out a lot of information on former Governor Charles W. Lippitt in the National Governor's Association, as well as Sobel, Robert and John Raimo, eds. Biographical Directory of Governors of the US, 1789-1978, Vol. 4 Wesport. CT: Meckler Books. 1978
This inspired me to write a history behind why the park that I chose was named after Charles W. Lippitt.

Bundle 1 thoughts
In spending alot of time at Lippitt Park, whether in using the track to exercise or just to sit there and have lunch, while watching my daughter in the playground, I began to notice that there is so much that can be done to improve this area...First off the information with images that I can find hardly does it any justice. I'm thinking that I will definitely include a pamphlet in my bundle with numerous photos and descriptions of each area. This park needs work!!!
